Rodrigo Brito Mello – Consultant

Rodrigo Brito Mello has over 30 years of experience in exploration, resource and reserve evaluation, mine planning and project development. Expert in Brazilian geology with focus on gold deposits. He wrote 19 NI 43-101 and JORC geological technical reports as Qualified Person – the most number of any geologist in reference to Brazilian gold projects.

Mr. Mello worked on mineral resources evaluation for gold in the following large projects and companies operating in Brazil: Jacobina, São Francisco e Ernesto, all from Yamana Gold; Volta Grande from Forbes & Manhattan; Riacho dos Machados from Carpathian Gold; Palito from Serabi; and Tocantinzinho from Brazauro. Also worked on mineral resources evaluations for projects in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru, some of them belonging to Cour D’Alene and Goldcorp.

Mr. Mello was the Corporate Development Director for MPBA (a subsidiary of Goldcorp) in Brazil, where he managed an annual budget up to US$ 4 million, and was responsible for a drilling program totaling 28.3 km, which allowed the detailing of the mining plan and the discovery of two new gold deposits near the mine. Prior to that was a consulting geologist for AngloGold South America, Brazil, and its Qualified Person for all of its mines and projects.

Mr. Mello is a graduate of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG; Brazil), with post-graduated education at the Catholic University of Goias (Brazil) and the University of Witwatersrand (South Africa).


José Alencar Francescatto  – Consultant

José Alencar Francescatto has over 36 years of experience as a field geologist in Brazil, with extensive experience with alluvial and primary gold. He was Chief Geologist for Mineração Tejucana, a successful alluvial gold and diamond mining company in Brazil. Mr. Francescatto holds a Bachelor in Geology degree from Vale do Rio dos Sinos University (Brazil).


Valéria da Rocha  – Consultant

Valéria da Rocha is an expert in the licensing of new mines and mining projects. She has over 11 years of experience in environmental affairs and regulation in Brazil. She previously worked for a Brazilian partnership with gold and iron mines, and before that as consultant to several large mining and mineral-related companies, including Coffey International and Votorantim Metals. She has a Bachelor in Geography degree from UNI (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) ; graduate-level studies in Geoprocessing and Digital Modeling from Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG; Brazil) and Environmental Managemente from  Faculdade Estácio de Sá (Brazil).


Lucas Cordeiro Diniz  – Consultant

Lucas Cordeiro Diniz is a mining engineer. He holds a Mining Engineering degree from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG; Brazil).


Ítala Carla Marciano – Consultant

Ítala Carla Marciano is a geological mining engineer. She holds a Geological Mining Engineering degree from the Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP; Brazil).
